Description
The basic idea of the Flag Halyard Chair was conceived on a hot summer afternoon, while the kids were playing in the water Wegner was digging and building himself a sand chair to relax and enjoy the day. Back at his summer house Wegner made the first sketches using the seating angles he had conceived on the beach. With a frame made of solid stainless steel, 240 metres of specially developed flag line forming the seat and the back and a long haired sheepskin softening the industrial sharpness of the steel, this chair constitutes ultimate and luxurious relaxation. This chair that pays tribute to the early modernist such as Le Corbusier, Miles van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer.
