It is physically impossible to sit in the J52G rocking chair without relaxing. The chair instinctively invites you to sit back, enjoy the comfort and slowly find a rhythm where you lull yourself down into pace. This was also the case in the golden age of Danish furniture design, where several of the largest architects drew rocking chairs – such as Børge Mogensen’s J52G, which is the J52B armchair’s swinging relative. In other words, it is a design icon put on the cores. But the round shapes and proportions of Børge Mogensen’s rocking chair make it obvious that it is also an independent work in itself.
