Established in 1953, PP Mobler is a Danish family company with a strong tradition for making high quality handmade furniture and is credited with collaborating with Hans J. Wegner in producing classic pieces such as the Valet Chair (1953), the Flag Halyard Chair (1950) and the Round Chair (1949) – among others. These pieces can be seen in many iconic museums and public spaces.
Today, PP Møbler is one of the few remaining cabinet-making workshops in Denmark, still producing authentic furniture designed by Hans J. Wegner using traditional handmade methods, thanks to their founders’ stubborn belief that technique, ingenuity and high quality craftsmanship cannot be compromised for price or mass production.
PP Møbler is now available in Australia through SeehoSu, and are featured in our Sydney showroom, including the spectacular Flag Halyard chair. With a frame made of solid stainless steel, 240 metres of specially developed flag line forming the seat and the back and a long haired sheepskin softening the industrial sharpness of the steel, this chair constitutes ultimate and luxurious relaxation.
