Smaller Objects is a producer of selected smaller design objects. The company, founded by architects Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune, presented its first collection in February 2015. The term Smaller Objects was first coined by Claesson Koivisto Rune for an exhibition at the Stockholm Design Week in 2010, later exhibited in Tokyo.
The criteria for Smaller Objects’ range is that the object needs to be of a lesser size. Useful. Low-key is good, fine in fact, but that doesn’t rule out the odd object making more of a statement every now and then. Beautiful to the eye and satisfying in the hand, the Smaller Objects are compatible with the room and occasion.
“Our first collection consists of eight self-evident yet unobtrusive objects that fit within a wide range of contexts. As for everything we are involved in, we believe in cultivating a long term perspective. I hope that we will have the opportunity to influence and inspire people to choose well-designed everyday objects that will be cherished until they’re passed on or inherited”, concludes Ola Rune.
